Gridwiz to Build 5MW Power Plant for RE100 PPA ServicesExpanding VPP and V2G in 2025
Gridwiz, a leading energy solutions provider (CEO: Koo-Hwan Kim), announced plans to build its own power plant to actively support the growing demand for 100% renewable energy (RE100).
The company revealed on June 9 that it will construct a 5MW power plant and use it as the foundation for advancing power purchase agreements (PPAs) with corporate clients. The plant will be located in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, with construction starting in September and commercial operations slated for February next year. The facility is expected to generate approximately 6,000MWh of electricity annually—enough to cover the yearly consumption of around 26,000 households—and achieve a carbon reduction of about 2,870 tons per year.
